Continuing Education Units (CEUs)

The West Virginia Prevention Resource Center provides CEU opportunities through events such as annual conferences, monthly Regional Learning Opportunities, and other WVPRC / WV Partnership to Promote Community Well-Being coordinated events. We may additionally provide CEUs for a limited number of other events.

Due to recent funding changes, the WVPRC will no longer be able to provide free CEU services. Per event CEU Application and CEU Certificate fee(s) will be required for all events dated on or after October 1, 2010. Application fees are non-refundable and do not guarantee CEU approval. Please read the CEU Protocol which has been updated to reflect these changes.

The WVPRC provides support to WV's community prevention efforts through facilitated learning and training and we encourage you to apply for CEU providership for your own events. Listed below under Professional Organizations and Additional Professional Organizations are links to the various state boards which you can contact to begin the application process for your approval as a CEU provider. Should you become an approved provider, your organization will be responsible for adhering to the requirements of each state board. The WVPRC will not be involved in processing your event for CEUs, however, we can offer technical assistance in your effort to become an approved provider.

In order to maintain our approved CEU provider status, the CEU Protocol must be followed. If the protocol is not followed, CEUs will not be awarded. The protocol provides the required timeline for submission, along with pre- and post-event requirements. In addition it may answer some questions you might have prior to completing your application. Special attention should be paid to the post-event requirements as these are your responsibility to provide.
