Continuing Education Units (CEUs)

The WV Prevention Resource Center (WVPRC) provideds CEU opportunities through events such as the annual Share The Vision Substance Abuse Prevention Conference, monthly Regional Learning Opportunities, and other WVPRC / WV Partnership to Promote Community Well-Being coordinated events. We will additionally provide CEUs for a limited number of other events.

WVPRC CEU Protocol is set in accordance with requirements of each of the professional organizations listed below. In order to maintain our approved CEU provider status, the protocol below must be followed. If the protocol is not followed, CEUs will not be awarded. Any questions and/or concerns should be directed to CEU Coordinator Judy Hall (ceus@wvprc.org, 766-6301 ext. 15).

The WVPRC is currently pre-approved to provide continuing education units by the following professional organizations:

• WV Certification Board for Addiction and Prevention Professionals
• National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (CHES)
• WV Board of Examiners in Counseling
• WV Board of Examiners for Registered Professional Nurses
• WV Board of Social Work Examiners

The WVPRC also occasionally requests CEU approval from these organizations:

• WV Coalition Against Domestic Violence
• WV Board of Examiners of Psychologists
• WV Law Enforcement Training Board
• The WV State Bar (Legal Education)
